These young men were coming off a fantastic 2019/20 season with coach Atkins, having been crowned league champions, but not being able to see out the full season and playoffs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Coach Hansell was set to take over for the 2020/21 season, in-line with the restructure within the club and dynamic of the EABL team being the bulk of the U18's team. Coach Hansell had been hard at work with these guys, with the crossover of early morning practices at James Watt, alongside the evening practices in the week, getting all the new guys up to scratch with plays and the ethos of the team. Newly appointed team Captain, Sam Cheshire, quickly filled his role of being the voice on and off the court, whipping the newbies into shape and making sure the team came together as one. Coach Hansell was prepared for success in the season before it was stopped, but that does not stop him looking ahead to the basketball restart, and making sure the players continue to focus on the goal!
